Taiwan seeks steel plate sources overseas to cut cost

t is reported that, since China Steel Corporation's steel plate prices are about TWD 3000 higher than global prices, local contractors now are seeking alternative sources overseas in order to reduce their cost of construction.
It is said that local contractor has asked South Korean and Japanese suppliers for the quotations of steel plate. Furthermore, CSC is said to keep its price unchanged for January and February.
